LENTEN SEASON
Wednesday, February 22, marks the beginning of the Lenten season this year. Each Wednesday during Lent our worship times are at 10:30 am and 7:00 pm. We also celebrate the Lord’s Supper on Ash Wednesday, February 22.
We will again be in a Lenten rotation with area Pastors. Our Lenten theme this year is “SEE HIS CROSS.” Our schedule here at Trinity is as follows:

ANNUAL LWML PRAYER SERVICE – ZONE 9
Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012, 9:00 AM. Trinity Lutheran Church, North 9th and Wisconsin Avenue will be the hosts. Parking: street & parking lots; free on Saturdays. Trinity is handicapped accessible. Our Offering will be for SWD SWML Administrative Fund. There will be a Continental breakfast downstairs at Trinity and the Prayer Service will be in the Church Nave.
This service filled with responsive readings and joyful hymn suggestions, is authored by Rev. Barrie E. Henke, President of Oklahoma District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Our January 2012 meeting opened with devotions led by Lucy. We collected our free will, mite box, and faith promise offerings. The Federwitz Prayer was read by Barb. Secretary & Treasurers reports were approved as read
Committee Reports: Fellowship: handed out material for us to go through; Education: nothing as yet; Service: took down Christmas tree and changed banners.
Old Business: Young Women’s Retreat, Feb. 3-4 at Crown Plaza in Madison. SWD LWML Convention , June 22-23 at Concordia, Mequon. Lucy is our delegate. TLC Fund is still available for applying for scholarships if someone needs financial help to attend the convention.
2012 Spring Rally, April 24, at Good Shepherd, Two Rivers. Ingathering: Baby items for the “Crossing” in Manitowoc. Prayer Service is Feb. 25 at Trinity, Sheboygan.
New Business: A thank you was received from Vicar for Christmas and from Chris Lierman for college “love pak”. Alvina’s birthday is in January if anyone wants to e-mail her for her birthday. For our dime project, part goes to gift for the last Vicar at graduation and the zone board meeting at Grace, Haven.
Next month bring $7.25 for Quarterlies. April 30, 2012 is deadline for church work scholarship for Concordia.
We sang Sunday, Jan. 15 in late service. A motion was made and seconded to adjourn. We had closing devotions
